Chargan (Persian String Quartet) will perform on the stage in Tehran Rudaki Hall. Ehsan Zabihifar (Kamancheh), Meshkat Nasiri (Kamancheh), Azadeh Shams (Qejak), Mohammad Mahdi Basirtmanesh (Tenore Qejak) are the quartet musicians in this concert. This concert is performed in two parts; The first part will include a collection of independent pieces composed by Sharif Lotfi, Adam Goodwin, Saeed Honarmand and Ehsan Zabihifar. The second part of the concert is called Dashti repertoire, including pieces in Persian music genres and arranged according to the usual compositional form in Persian music. Chargan’s concert will be held on Thursday, December 8, 1403 at 20:00 at Rudaki Hall, and are available on www.tiwal.com website.
Chargan is a four-member ensemble with a combination of two Kamancheh, Qejak and Tenore Qejak, which was founded in the spring of 2006 by Hamed Afshari and Ehsan Zabihifar with the aim of experimenting with Persian string Quartet. Until now, Chargan has held many concerts in different halls and has released two audio albums; Chargan 1 and Chargan 2. So far, Chargan has performed the works of composers including Sharif Lotfi, Ardeshir Kamkar, Iman Vaziri, Saeed Honarmand, Ali Samadpour, Karen Keyhani, Negin Zomorrodi, Hamed Afshari and Ehsan Zabihifar.
