After their debut concert in Jalil Shahnaz Hall in November 2011, Chargan will once again take the stage at Roudaki Hall, Tehran, in November of this year with a fresh program. The concert will be performed in two distinct parts.
In the first section, Chargan will perform works by Ardshir Kamkar, Hamed Afshari, Negin Zomorodi, Karen Keyhani, Saeed Honarmand, and Ehsan Zabihifar. Apart from “Zarbi-e Afshari” (Ardshir Kamkar) and “Agitation” (Hamed Afshari), previously performed in their 2011 concert, the remaining pieces will debut in this performance.
In this concert, Bita Ghasemi will replace Hamed Afshari (who has been residing in Canada since last year) as the Bariton Qejak player.
Siavash Kamkar (Santur player) will accompany Chargan in the “String Quintet” by Saeed Honarmand, and Sina Khoshkbijari (Tonbak player) will join as a guest in the “Zarbi-e Afshari” by Ardshir Kamkar. Additionally, guest singers Hassan Mahdi Etebari and Solmaz Badri will accompany the ensemble in the piece “Arghavan” by Ehsan Zabihifar, composed based on a poem by Houshang Ebtehaj (H. A. Sayeh).
The second part of the concert will be dedicated to Mohammadreza Ebrahimi and his ensemble, performing his compositions for three ouds accompanied by percussion. Oud players Maryam Khodabakhsh and Azadeh Ahmadi will accompany Ebrahimi, with Sina Khoshkbijari on percussion.
The concert will be held on the 25th 26th October at 8:00 PM at Roudaki Hall, Tehran.
